“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Welcome to my personal website!
I am an energy system modeler and a Ph.D. candidate in Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, supervised by Dr. Jing Hu, Prof. Detlef van Vuuren and Dr. Vinzenz Koning. More information about my profile at UU can be found here.
I am also collaborating with Dr. Gang He at the Deep Policy Lab (City University of New York). Previously, I worked with Dr. Wei He at the STAR Lab (King’s College London).
I hold an M.Sc. in Electronic Information (2025) and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering & Automation (2022), both from Xi’an Jiaotong University (西安交通大学). I was also a visiting student at King’s College London during 2024 summer.
My research focuses on energy system modeling, climate change, and emerging low-carbon technologies such as hydrogen, fusion, and space-based solar power etc. I am currently exploring how climate change (energy drought) affects energy systems and leveraging energy system modeling to develop actionable strategies for climate-resilient and decarbonized energy systems. I am also interested in electricity markets and integrating AI into energy systems.
I have previously worked on power system analysis and linear optical simulations. (Yes, two fields that rarely meet at conferences.)

I love traveling the world, spiking volleyballs (I'm an enthusiast), photography or simply spending time with friends, shopping and binge-watching Japanese & South Korean TV series. Recently, I’ve been really into cooking Chinese cuisine, with mixed but improving results :)
