About me

I am an energy system modeller who recently completed my M.Res. degree and am currently enjoying a gap year. During this time, I am working with Prof. Gang He at the Deep Policy Lab (The City University of New York) and Prof. Wei He at the STAR Lab (King’s College London).

I hold an M.Res. in Electronic Information and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering & Automation, both from Xi’an Jiaotong University (西安交通大学), and spent time as a visiting student (2024) at King’s College London.

Research

My research focuses on energy system modeling, climate policy, and emerging low-carbon technologies such as hydrogen, fusion, and space-based solar power etc. I leverage energy system modeling to develop actionable strategies that addressing the complexities of climate change and decarbonization. I am also interested in electricity markets, resilience and climate risk, and integrating machine learning into energy system analysis.

I have previously worked on power system analysis and linear optical simulations. (Yes, two fields that rarely meet at conferences.)

Extracurricular Experience

I love traveling the world, spiking volleyballs (I'm an enthusiast), or simply spending time with friends and binge-watching Japanese & South Korean TV dramas. Recently, I picked up photography, and started learning about stock trading too. Fingers crossed for a bullish day tomorrow! :)
